December!

I hope everyone has a nice Thanksgiving Break!

Students are currently working on their European Explorer/Spanish Conquistador Project.  They were assigned a specific explorer and are to look up information on their explorer and answer questions on him.  After they have all of the questions answered they need to collect their ideas and organize it into paragraphs and then write a final copy.  This can be typed or handwritten.

This is DUE FRIDAY DECEMBER 19th!!!!!  We are not working on this in class.  This is an assignment for students to complete at HOME!

We just started our next Math Unit-Size, Shape, and Symmetry.  Students will be using different measurement tools to find the lengths, perimeters, and areas of objects and rooms.

I sent home a packet on different strategies for math and division…Look for them in students folders!

End of November!

Parent/Teacher Conferences are among us.  You should have already set up a time to meet with me.   I look forward to meeting all of you!

Next week is only a 2 day week for students (Monday and Tuesday)  Have a nice Thanksgiving Break!!

The end of the marking period was last Friday (November 14th)  Report cards will be mailed this coming Friday November 21st

We just finished our last group of stories in Reading and our Conflict/Resolution paper.  In Science, the students are finishing their observations of the crayfish life cycle, only to move onto the Europeans impact on the Native Americans.  In math we just finished multiplication towers and division and will be starting Unit 4  on Size, Shape, and Symmetry.
