Carrie Downie and Room 301 Happenings

What’s new in Room 301?

Math:
Landmark Numbers–>We are completing a 1,000 chart as well as a 10,000 chart using landmark numbers to help us in completing our multiple digit addition and subtraction problems.  We are working on using more than one method in answering our math problems

Science:
Magnetism and Electricity–>We have finished with magnetism and are working on electricity, creating circuits (series and parallel).  Students are also finding different reasons why certain circuits are complete and why others are not.

Social Studies:
We will be starting our State History unit shortly.

ELA-English Language Arts
We are working on Theme 4-Reading Stories such as So you want to be an Inventor, Just Like Me.  Our focus skill is Fact and Opinions.
